I wonder if nepotism runs in the McPhee family. Would Would George accept his son Graham as sufficient inducement to influence who he picks from us in the expansion draft ?

The excitement over the D in the CHL was high before the deadline, then Chia added Mantha and the excitement is nearing madness. Can't wait for those 3 to turn pro - early days, but exciting all the same.

It's been pretty clear lately that if you can develop NHL D through the draft, you have some valuable trade chips if you have too many valuable players.

Mantha and Fontaine look like great depth moves for the Oilers. Having quality players at every level of the organization is pretty awesome to see. Chiarelli has really built a well rounded deep roster quickly

ps: how sick would it be if Bear hit 30 goals as a Dman??

Also, Nick Ellis continues to have a phenomenal rookie pro season.

LB may "earn" the full time back-up job in the NHL next year just so Nick can have full reign on the AHL starting job.

Lowetide I understand that Bear was injured last Sunday in a game against Everett. Any information on the injury and its severity. How soon can he be expected back in Seattle's lineup? Hope it's nothing serious.

The Mantha signing flew a bit under the radar but its fantastic to have another legit D prospect about ready to turn pro.

Bear, Jones and Mantha all graduating to the Barons next year - can't wait to see it.

Does this spell the end of Musil in the Oiler organization?

I wonder which of the three will end up in Barkersfield at the end of their junior season (and if they'll actually see any ice).
